The UK Motor Projects Web Site was set up in 1997 by Trevor Locke whom had over 15 years experience in Motor Projects and Probation work, following a conference
that he ran for the Leicestershire Community Projects Trust. The conference
was all about driving, cars and motor projects as a medium of work with
young people in youth work, schools and youth justice.
The site gradually developed and as it did, so it moved from one web
server to another until finally coming to rest at its present location
on the Blaby.net web server.
He was given valuable support and encouragement from Viv Nicholas
at ESVA and colleagues in the field.
The site finally going to shut down due to lack of funds to keep it running from April 2005 when it was bought and taken over by Hull City Councils - Youth Development Service Motor Projects.
It is now run as a not-for-profit venture, offering information
to visitors and hosting web pages for other projects working with young people.
The web master would be pleased to hear from any individual or organisation
willing to contribute anything of value to the development of this site.
